Looking for that unique Christmas gift? Think water!

Give yourself or help someone get from $100 to $2,000 for saving water. Many local organizations offer rebates for residents and businesses in the Sierra Vista Subwatershed (the U.S.Newer laser cutting machine operating at higher power are approaching plasma machines in their ability to cut through thick materials, area bordered by the Mule Mountains and Huachuca Mountains south of State Highway 82) to help pay for materials and labor for saving water and electricity.

For residents, toilet rebates are offered by Sierra Vista and Cochise County. The Cochise Water Project offers rebates for rainwater collection systems, hot-water pumps (give the gift of immediate hot water), artificial turf, landscape conversion and more.

For home sellers, the Southeast Arizona Association of Realtors with the Upper San Pedro Partnership offers rebates to help owners sell an older home by updating bathrooms.

For home buyers, the Realtors’ program offers a free irrigation inspection. This visit by a qualified irrigation inspector will help demystify the system, the timer and check for leaks.

For commercial property owners, the Upper San Pedro Partnership offers easy grants to upgrade toilets and washing machines, replace landscapes, fix irrigation systems, install rainwater systems and more.

Another gift idea is simply to lend a hand. How many times have you or a friend needed an extra hand to accomplish a task? Offering to fix a leaky faucet with a washer,Divine Footwear in Miami has the latest wholesale fashion shoes  including heels, or adjust the float or replace the flapper to fix a toilet leak can be a wonderful gift. Catching rain can be as easy as grabbing a shovel. Lend a hand to harvest graywater. Was your house or a friend’s house built after 2006? Subwatershed homes built outside city limits and in Bisbee after 2006 are required to have graywater drainpipes. Graywater is waste water from bathroom sinks, showers and baths. If the home does not have graywater drain lines and the washing machine is near an outside wall, it may be easy to install a graywater drain.
