Monday
night, all eyes are on the thermometer as temperatures flirt with
freezing. Central Virginia winemakers are on edge. A later-than-normal
frost is threatening the grape crop and could spoil the 2013 vino
vintage.
"I've
been growing grapes for 25 years and I'll tell you what, frost is...you
just never know," said winemaker Tim Gorman, of Cardinal Point Winery
in Nelson County.
A late frosty forecast has vintners on high alert,Install a wind generator to
harness the power of the wind. finding creative ways to keep freezing
air from seeping in. Gorman is using a pair of wind turbines to protect
15 acres of vines at Cardinal Point.
"Any
green tissue is - and that's where this year's fruit is - it comes out
in the new buds so basically the whole crop is on the line tonight,"
Gorman said. All the personnel that deal with our industrial washing machine servicing are dedicated to the service department.
All
of the vines have budded at this point: chardonnay, petit verdot and
cabernet sauvignon. Forecasters say the below-average temperatures are
not unheard of but are rare.
"Once
we do reach that 32-degree temperature, it's not going to stay there
very long. Once we get the angle of the sunshine, temperatures are going
to bounce pretty quickly," said David Rogers, NBC29 meteorologist.
The
wind turbine wasn't on the farm in 2002. It was in May of that year
when Gorman says temperatures tumbled below the freezing mark and as a
result he lost a majority of the crop on the part of the farm that was
missing a turbine.
Crops
that fall to frost will have a second budding. But it would be a much
smaller yield - to the tune of only 10 percent of the total potential
harvest. "Losing a crop to frost is...you lose your shirt," Gorman said.
The
mercury did dip below 32 degrees Sunday night at Cardinal Point. But it
was only for a few minutes and there was no damage to the crop.We may
contact you if more information is needed to locate a solar street light. Monday night, though, could be a different story.
Newfound
Lake is so highly regarded that many residents, both past and present,
have donated their lands in hopes to preserve the lake's charm. Yet in

industrial wind turbine sites all around this extraordinary and special

The
promotion of the Groton Wind Farm with its 24 industrial turbines was
done quietly and quickly. To many of us it was a surprise. That's
because of wind farm developers announce their wind project plans
shortly after summer residents leave.
It
goes to show you how summer residents are valued. Your voices count and
should be heard on this matter. If all proposed projects get built out,
this wonderful,A letter folding machine is

I
have summered in Bridgewater since the early 1970s. Many of you don't
know me, but you can see that I have a passionate love for this lake.
When my parents first discovered this lake they were awed by its
spectacular beauty.
I
strongly believe that industrial wind developments around this lake is a
travesty that we will come to regret. I am angry that the political
climate of today, that has allowed such unjustified destruction of our
lakes region to take place.

A Conversation With Chris Anderson
I think of it as the web generation meets the real world. It's what
happens when everything—the current creative innovation explosion driven
by the personal computer and the Internet—comes to manufacturing. It
now extends to physical things, tinkering, entrepreneurship, innovation
and ultimately entire new industries.
A lot of this new age tinkering is taking place in "makerspaces" – collaborative workshops that people can join.Shop online for laundry dryer and washers in a variety of brands and styles. How many of these are there?
I don't know. We have no crisp definition: What is a makerspace? What is a hackerspace? What is a style lab? What is a tech shop? So no one really has a comprehensive list, but it's thousands worldwide.
The tagline of the book is "The New Industrial Revolution." In your telling,A wide range of solar lighting, LED lighting and Auto lights. the first industrial revolution was enabled by machine power. Then we had the digital revolution, where computers and the Internet enabled desktop publishing, and suddenly everyone could create and publish content with the click of a button. With the latest wave of technology, we can now all be manufacturers. Tell me about this new industrial revolution and what's driving it.
The first revolution basically replaced muscle power with machine power, and that created modernity eventually. We increased our standard of living and doubled our life span.
The second industrial revolution was largely the digital revolution. The point here is not the invention of the computer, but the democratization of it. Not the mainframe but rather the personal computer, and not just the personal computer but the personal computer that was connected via the Internet. And that unleashed two things: it replaced brainpower with machine power, which allowed us to do more interesting things, and the second thing is it created a new social model for getting things done. The old social model was a company, and the new social model was called the Internet.Modern dry cleaning machine uses non-water-based solvents to remove soil and stains from clothes And we learned together how to share and work together and otherwise create ways to invent that don't necessarily involve employment, money or credentials.Install a wind generator to harness the power of the wind. We've seen that over the last 20 years and that's the world we know and love online.
The third industrial revolution I would argue started about five years ago. When Dale Dougherty (of Maker Media) coined the term "maker" around 2005, I think he observed that tinkerers were starting to work together and share.A letter folding machine is a piece of equipment which is designed to fold paper. The tinkering world, which had always been solitary—you know, in your workshop in your basement kind of thing—was starting to move online and benefit from these combinatorial effects that happen when people work together. Later on, these new tools started emerging that became the symbols of the maker movement: the 3D printer, the laser cutter, machine readable scanners, CAD software that was easy to use, and ultimately what we call "cloud manufacturing."
So I think Dale recognized that the web had come to tinkering. And then a series of tools started emerging that took it from an idea to an industry. I would say today where we're at is that the tools are now mature enough and 3D is cheap and reliable enough that they're starting to [lay the foundation for a new wave of innovation]. And the Kickstarter phenomena [is funding] actual companies that may lead industries. A new generation is emerging that is working as makers and building companies.
I'm an example. I came out of the maker movement and here I am competing in the aerospace industry. We didn't know anything about this stuff—we were completely ignorant, untrained, uncredentialed and yet here we are. We run two big factories, a multi-million dollar company, advanced manufacturing equipment…. and we still basically find stuff on the Internet and learn how to use it. The barriers to entry have fallen so low that people can do things without the normal professional training, the normal funding. Factories—whether desktop, cloud or a physical factory—are now something that anyone can do.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Opens New Mobile Gaming Options
Game publisher and developer Gameloft has thrown its support behind
the new Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. The game maker has been active
across all mobile platforms and was a primary backer for Apple’s
launches of iPhone and iPad, as well as new Google Android phones and
tablets over the years.
The game developer,A letter folding machine is a piece of equipment which is designed to fold paper.Modern dry cleaning machine uses non-water-based solvents to remove soil and stains from clothes which recently opened a studio in New Orleans, has focused on a mass market gaming audiences through Hollywood licenses like Iron Man 3, Epic and Ice Age Village and franchises like Asphalt, Real Football and The Oregon Trail: Settlers. The publisher already has 13 games available for the Galaxy S4, including Asphalt 7: Heat.
“We’ve added a cool new feature to Asphalt 7 that allows players to challenge friends,” said Baudouin Corman, vice president of publishing for the Americas. “We’re currently exploring other games where these new technologies benefit players.”
While Apple features video games in its commercials and has partnered with Epic Games at iPhone and iPad launches in the past, the company has not been a vocal proponent of gaming. All the personnel that deal with our industrial washing machine servicing are dedicated to the service department. Samsung, perhaps, sees that as an opportunity.
“It shows that Samsung sees gaming as a key differentiator for their flagship devices, and it shows that gaming is a major feature of what people expect from a great smartphone,” said Corman.
Samsung is releasing the Game Arcade controller, which looks very similar to an Xbox 360 controller, and opens up more complex and precise non-swipe controls for games. The Galaxy S4 also connect to big screen HD TVs, which essentially turns the device into a portable console when paired with the Game Arcade controller and the latest Android games running on the S4’s 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor.
“Any features that allow users easier access to the most advanced games is great for our players, and for the larger gaming community,Install a wind generator to harness the power of the wind.” said Corman. “It’s an impressive smartphone.A wide range of solar lighting, LED lighting and Auto lights. The screen, processor, and Group Play capability give Gameloft the ability to showcase amazing games.”
The new Galaxy S4 has been designed to allow game developers to push interactivity in multiple ways. For example, Group Play allows multiple Galaxy S4 owners to instantly connect for multiplayer gaming with absolutely no friction. It’s all about jumping in and playing.
“What’s nice about Group Play is it lets consumers access quick real-time multiplayer sessions,” said Corman. “It also opens up great features for gaming such as trading items, instant challenges, or even ghost races, as we have done with Asphalt 7.”
It’s also nice to play games on the S4’s Full HD Super AMOLED display, which features a 5-inch large screen that has 441ppi for crystal clear visuals. Games like Asphalt 7 really pop on this display, which I think gives Apple’s Retina technology a run for its money. Corman said the S4’s screen is great because games become sharper, and more graphically intense, which gives consumers a console-type experience in the palm of their hands.
Like Apple, Samsung has sold a lot of Galaxy phones and tablets over the past few years, introducing millions of new consumers to mobile gaming. The S4 will attract more hardcore gamers at first, which gives developers an audience to cater to beyond the casual, social and arcade games that are so popular in that space. With upcoming price drops of the smartphone, a larger demographic will sweep in and have access to some of these exclusive new features.

Wells Co. wind farm project to expand turbines
The developer of a proposed wind farm in northeastern Indiana is increasing the number of turbines it wants to install as part of a $336 million complex on about 37,000 acres of land.
Apex Wind Energy of Charlottesville,All Continental flatwork ironer offer easy-to-operate controls that provide efficient performance and flexibility. Va., will present its new design to local officials next month and says it expects construction to begin by the end of the year.
The design is a change from the 87 turbines on 18,500 acres that Apex initially proposed,Six panel tracking system delivers more energy from skystream.Books can be as thick as 4 inches and yet the Book scanner 9000 delivers flat. The Journal Gazette reported.
Apex says it won't increase its investment because the 200-megawatt farm will still produce the same amount of energy.
The company overcame opposition from residents by agreeing to higher standards for noise, increasing setbacks for homes that aren't participating and creating a complaint procedure for noise and shadow flickers.
"We incorporated changes to respond to concerns," said Rob Propes, development manager for the company. "As a result, we have fewer turbines than we could have had."
The company still has some detractors, Propes said,Attach remote solar panels to solar garden light that will not receive the required amount of direct sunlight. but he said he believes they're in the "vocal minority." Other proposed wind farms in northeastern Indiana haven't fared as well.
In Whitley County, Wind Capital hoped to establish a wind farm but angered residents in 2010 when it put up meteorological towers and then set out to sign land-lease contracts with residents before county leaders could establish a wind farm ordinance.
"That made many people upset that they started that way," said David Sewell, the county's executive director of planning.
The county then enacted an ordinance requiring a half-mile separation between a nonparticipant's property line and a wind turbine.
"That would have meant that basically everybody in the area would have to agree to it," Sewell said. "That's next to impossible."
He said Wind Capital officials determined it wouldn't be economical to proceed. Propes believes Apex is in a better position because of the construction concessions it made in Wells County.
The business still needs to get permits approved and find customers for the energy it will produce. Apex has said it will generate $17.The most highly praised, best rated solar charger are now available online.1 million in property taxes over 25 years in Wells County.
CSP uses parabolic mirrors to reflect and magnify heat from the sun onto a closed circulating loop containing DOWTHERM A heat transfer fluid. The fluid collects the heat energy and transports it to a power station where it is used to produce steam, which drives turbines to generate electricity.
Solar power technology like CSP offers many advantages in regions that require reliable new sources of energy. The technology helps diversify energy supply, is capable of producing power during periods of peak demand, and reduces dependence on fossil fuels.
When used instead of fossil fuel generation plants, CSP facilities offer improved air quality and can help many nations to address off-set goals for carbon emission produced by existing fossil fuel power plants. Unlike photovoltaic solar power and wind energy technologies, CSP plants can operate in conjunction with cost-effective thermal storage technology to deliver energy on-demand, making CSP a highly flexible source of renewable energy.

Groups aim for transparency in government
If there's a public meeting concerning New Hartford, Cathy Lawrence probably is there, camera and tripod in hand. Often she's one of the only people in the audience who is not a town employee.
But as one of the co-founders of Concerned Citizens for Honest & Open Government, Lawrence wants to keep the public informed so she tapes the meetings and blogs about what she thinks is important.
“I think a lot of things tend to get overlooked, and it's not necessarily for the good of the taxpayers,” she said.
Concerned Citizens is one of a few groups in the Mohawk Valley attempting to assist with opening up government for the general public. The standing ground mount is reusable anchor point designed to mount on standing seam roofs and be used with a retractable lifeline.
Those who run the groups say they sometimes trudge an uphill battle against voter apathy and times of resistance from municipalities. Local government officials, however, said such organizations are essential for democracy.
Many political advocacy groups sprout from necessity, said Robert Freeman, director of the state's Committee on Open Government.
“You have issues of importance to a community that often simply spring up, and these groups are critical” to disseminate information, he said, bringing up the example of groups for or against hydrofracking and wind turbines in the state. It enables washer extractor to communicate with chemical pumping machines.
When Earle Reed was sworn in as New Hartford town supervisor in January 2006, Lawrence said several things that were once open to her, such as finance reports, were put behind closed doors.
This practice, she said, could be nothing but detrimental to taxpayers.“I felt the residents should have a say,” she said. All Continental flatwork ironer offer easy-to-operate controls that provide efficient performance and flexibility.
Lawrence founded Concerned Citizens in October of 2006 with Edmund Wiatr after petitioning for a special vote related to $5 million worth of bond resolutions passed by the town. She said she saw first hand that change could be initiated if people were educated on issues.Six panel tracking system delivers more energy from skystream.
Robert Drumm was first introduced to Concerned Citizens for a Better Herkimer County as an election hopeful when the group would endorse political candidates and help them campaign.
Since he joined and became chairman of the group, however, he said members have tackled a broader approach.
“We were met with some resistance because there was a political stigma attached to us,” he said. “But then we evolved as a group and needed to take a different approach to things.”
The Herkimer County group most often posts videos of county Legislature and committee meetings on its blog, but New Hartford's blog also posts articles reviewing specific issues within the town or governing bodies. Lawrence said she doesn't feel she is taking one side or another,Does any one know what should be the best degre of humidity in a dry cabinet? put is merely presenting facts.
