A forest fire helped by high winds painted the Gillam sky dark orange
Monday afternoon, covering the northern Manitoba town in ash and
sending residents into their homes. The fire, which was burning 36 km
west of Gillam and according to Manitoba Conservation still raging
Tuesday afternoon, wasn't considered a concern for the town of

emergency co-ordinator Jackie Clayton said the community is no stranger
to forest-fire smoke during the summer months, but Monday's bizarre
haze was something townsfolk haven't seen in a while. In her 12 years as
a Gillam resident, she's never seen dusk arrive so early.
"It was very dark here, starting (Monday) afternoon at about three o'clock,We have a wide selection of cheapdedicatedserver to

the streetlights were coming on. Living up here in summer months, we
don't normally have our streetlights come on until just before
midnight.
"It was pretty eerie. It was almost like it was raining mud on top of you."

quickly as the orange pollution settled into and onto Gillam, it
disappeared Tuesday, as the high winds (which were blowing from the west
at 40 km/h Monday) shifted and slightly cleared the air. That didn't
stop a few of the town's elders, senior residents and those with
respiratory issues from heading south to Thompson to spend a few nights,

Most
residents, however, took a wait-and-see approach, remaining until told
otherwise.A dry-cleaning machine is similar to a combination of a

This
seems to be the overall mentality of northern communities during forest
fire season: smoke 'em if you got 'em, but don't expect panic to set in
because the sky turns an otherworldly orange one afternoon.
"We
do live in the bush -- we're used to the smoke," Clayton said, "but if
there are people who are feeling (uneasy) it's not a bad idea to
leave."
Crews were battling the fire Tuesday, with the hope of
avoiding the situation where the entire town of Gillam has to evacuate
under emergency measures. If the situation doesn't improve, there could
be a mandatory order.
"The evacuation order depends on a lot of
things: wind, the fuel in between the fire and the community, the
forecast, the amount of smoke, the conditions prior to the fire," said
Manitoba Conservation's Gary Friesen.
"The one positive thing about this is that there is rain in the forecast in the next two days."
Friesen said low amounts of rainfall during the spring in the Gillam region have left the forest bed dry,If you have ledlampwholesalers or

of Tuesday, Manitoba had 38 fires burning throughout the province; some

Murphy announced he has accepted a position with the Australian
company Global Environmental Infrastructure Technology Solutions. Murphy
is now the chief environmental officer and said he will be responsible
for all environmental issues, sustainability, regulatory affairs and
government liaison.
“I believe our technology can be applied to improve water quality in Wisconsin,” Murphy said.
Murphy worked with GEITS while he was employed as Adams County conservation officer to help the company enter into a contract with the city of Adams to build a manufacturing plant that will employ as many as 200 people. While Murphy helped GEITS enter into a contract with the city, the company had no success with efforts to build a 500 megawatt floating solar-power plant on Petenwell Flowage. At a public meeting about the feasibility of the floating plant in April, city officials spoke enthusiastically about keeping the effort going.
At the meeting, Murphy, alongside two representatives of GEITS, said the plan had been halted by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. A DNR spokesman later told the Star-Times that the department had not rejected any plans to build the power plant but instead had asked for a project design the department could analyze.

Targeted City PRIDE tax to go before voters
If approved, the targeted “City PRIDE” tax would be spent according
to a specific formula, with 50 percent of revenue earmarked for safety,
22 percent toward parks and recreation, 20 percent for demolition of
vacant properties and removal of blight and the remaining 8 percent
toward street lights.
Mayor Tim Theaker said when voters rejected a different proposed increase last November, residents felt leery that revenues from that “general use” tax could be used for anything.

Kia Pro cee’d GT
It’s rare you drive a car that actually makes people stop and stare
unless it’s a supercar. Kia have managed to produce a car that does
exactly that and match its good looks with something great to drive.
The car is the Pro_cee’d GT. Memorable for making sure you spell it correctly, Kia have produced a hatch, not a hot one, more a warm one that ticks all the boxes in terms of performance.
You can’t help but feel mesmerised by the ‘ice-cube’ daytime running lights, the black grille and lower air intake with a red trim line, which against the Fusion White metallic car we drove all make it look visually exciting. Its profile does make it look slightly Mercedes-Benz A-Class but going to the rear the dual sports exhausts and vertical reversing light and reflectors give it back a uniqueness. Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres give it added sportiness with red brake callipers.
It is all kept very simple, a mixture of plastics and high-gloss black piano adorn the cabin. Leather and suede Recaro sports seats with red stitching give it a high quality feel.China hidlightses manufacturer supply elevator light curtain, The red stitching also features on the steering wheel with a GT badge, gear shifter and door trims, although it’s a shame the red wasn’t used on the handbrake.
Driving position is extremely comfortable and although the windows in the rear are quite small, visibility is fine. A date and time display is also useful, as after spending the weekend at the Le Mans 24 Hour race, and being up for most of it, I had no idea what day it was! The TFT LCD instrument display is a bit fussy with too much information to look at. Do we really need distracting by engine torque and turbo boost pressure figures?
The 1.6-litre turbo engine is pretty impressive and goes from 0-60 mph in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 143mph. It produces 201 bhp and pulls off well when overtaking with 265Nm of torque available, especially on the windy rounds around Provence when we got stuck behind the wannabe Tour de France cyclists. Steering does need to be a bit more responsive, as although it was fun to drive along the tiny mountainous roads used in the Monte Carlo Rally testing out the tight hairpins, you didn’t always feel at one with the car. That being said it cruises well on the autoroutes and is at home both around town or on the long sweeping roads in the countryside. Fuel consumption on the GT is 38.2mpg with 171g/km of CO2 emissions, which will cost 200 in car tax.
The pro_cee’d GT comes with many options, which are normallly extra on other cars as standard, which is great if you don’t want to have to spend extra.Permanent solar trellis and roofwindturbinebbq systems require little to no maintenance and allow easy access. Reversing sensors are on the car, air-conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, electrically operated and heated folding mirrors are just a few items available.

Could SC see a revival in video poker?
Last winter as the Legislature took its first steps to outlaw
Internet sweepstakes games, an experienced lawyer with the S.C. Attorney
General’s office warned lawmakers that video poker barons always have
another card up their sleeves.

Herbkersman said the bill would not allow the return of video gambling. Instead, he said, he is filing it on behalf of his constituents in the Sun City retirement community who have complained that the state’s gambling laws are too restrictive.
“We want to get ladies in Sun City to be able to go in the clubhouse, have a glass of wine and play cribbage,” Herbkersman said. “It’s not a gambling law. It’s a personal freedom law.”
Others who have battled video poker for years said some of the same industry players who have been around for years were at the spring hearing, leading to concerns that the bill is another back-door attempt to bring back video poker. This summer, Herbkersman and others who support the bill will meet with State Law Enforcement Division Chief Mark Keel to discuss it.
Meanwhile, police across the state continue their efforts to stamp out video gambling that popped up a couple of years ago when game operators argued they had found a loophole in state law that allowed their machines.
At iInternet sweepstakes parlors, customers paid for a product such as phone cards or copying services and then got to play video games for a chance to win prizes, including cash. They said their games were no different from McDonald’s Monopoly promotion. Law enforcement, including Keel and S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson, said no loophole existed but urged legislators to rewrite the law to end any debate. Legislators complied, and Gov. Sheriff Leon Lott said sweepstakes parlors vanished from Richland County after he raided one that had opened in the spring of 2012 on Sparkleberry Road Extension. But individual machines occasionally are found in businesses across the county, he said.
Last week, the Columbia Police Department reported it had seized 22 machines from several businesses in Columbia. Most of those machines were called Palmetto Gold or Chess Challenge II, according to incident reports. Law enforcement, including Keel and S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson, said no loophole existed but urged legislators to rewrite the law to end any debate. Legislators complied, and Gov. Since then, the sweepstakes parlors, which mostly operated out of strip malls and only served the purpose of gambling, have vanished. Police have reported finding machines scattered across the state in bars, convenience stores and other locations.
Sheriff Leon Lott said sweepstakes parlors vanished from Richland County after he raided one that had opened in the spring of 2012 on Sparkleberry Road Extension. But individual machines occasionally are found in businesses across the county, he said.
Last week, the Columbia Police Department reported it had seized 22 machines from several businesses in Columbia. Most of those machines were called Palmetto Gold or Chess Challenge II, according to incident reports. GMC is known for its trucks, but there are more than pickups under
those big red letters. Along with the five-seat Terrain crossover SUV,
GMC also sells the big Acadia, a full-size wagon with seats for as many

side doors of a minivan, but has almost all of the other core

It turns out that the name Leisure Suit Larry has become an ironic
title, as the cold reality of the game’s resource management tasks set
in and reloading the game to fill your wallet becomes a painful chore.
Again and again you scurry off to refill hapless Larry’s wallet at one
of many electronic gambling machines, where luck rather than skill
determines how quickly you can move through the game. Do you spend time
walking outside and receiving a $10 gift from a homeless man when you’ve
gone broke or do you simply “cheat” and reload the last save, from when
you actually still had money to gamble?
The blame isn’t entirely on N-Fusion Interactive or publisher Replay Games.Shopping is the best place to comparison shop for roofhookert. To be fair, going broke in the original Sierra title meant a game over and forced reload. N-Fusion could have gotten away with taking some creative license here and there to deliver a more fun game instead of just an HD re-release. There’s new content in the form of an extra woman to spurn Larry’s advances,I have tried several sets of emergencylampsqa that have lasted one season only. and the point-and-click play continues to be charming, but the hoop-jumping progression through the story hinges too much on luck rather than the player’s powers of deduction.
